Complete electrical design and development of custom automation systems including robotic welding cells, tooling/fixtures, and advanced manufacturing equipment.
Create detailed electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.
Design control panels, power distribution, operator stations, and safety circuits.
Develop network and fieldbus layouts for automated systems.
Specify and integrate PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, sensors, and safety devices.
Support PLC/HMI programming and troubleshooting (Rockwell preferred).
Assist with system startup, debug, commissioning, and field support.
Collaborate with mechanical, robotics, and manufacturing teams.
Maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), documentation, and as-built drawing updates.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and uphold company quality objectives.
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience designing industrial control systems or automated machinery.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN for schematic and panel design.
Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field preferred; or equivalent with experience will be considered.
Knowledge of motor control, power distribution, safety systems, and industrial networks
PLC/HMI experience (Rockwell a plus)
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and system-level problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic engineering environment.
Experience with robotics integration, welding automation (arc, laser, resistance), or machine tooling systems preferred.
