Ensures the North and Central America (NCA) accounting functions meets Ball Corporation’s overall business plans and objectives
Directly oversees all cost accounting activities
Manage the cost accounting function in coordination with other teams to ensure compliance with Ball Corporation’s accounting policies and procedures
Responsible for the completion of the month end closing process, including the preparation, input and review of journal entries for the NCA division
Helps facilitate the creation and review of financial reports, including the Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, and Cash Flow Statement
Reviews and assists in the analysis, preparation, and submission of financial results for the corporate consolidation in accordance with US GAAP
Acts as a primary liaison to internal and external auditors each quarter and at year-end for financial and SOX related audit requests

Broad training in a related field acquired through Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Finance degree may be acceptable with recent and relevant accounting work experience
Public accounting experience is a plus
Job related experience for 5 years minimum
Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience managing a team of two or more direct reports
Chartered Accountant or CPA preferred
Skilled at analytical and problem-solving techniques to troubleshoot problems independently
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively
Ability to analyze and interpret data and make recommendations
Must be able to handle sensitive and proprietary information in a confidential manner
Working knowledge of US GAAP
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, preferably integrated manufacturing systems (specifically JDE) and HFM
Experienced in manufacturing accounting
Advanced in MS Excel

Hybrid On-Site Work Environment: Based in Colorado, this position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three (3) or more days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)
