The Design Engineer is responsible for producing patterns designs and for designing, developing, and testing electronic and embedded systems.
Collaborates with various teams to bring projects from conception to completion using CAD software and simulation tools.
Contributes to testing and design modifications to improve the quality and function of existing products.
Participates in New Product Development (NPD) teams to deliver new products with a high degree of complexity; including requirements analysis and system design.
Designs, develops, tests, and validates microcontroller-based PCBs.
Performs testing, troubleshooting, and validation (at board and system level) for new and existing products.
Designs and evaluates products, parts, and processes for cost efficiency and reliability.
Interacts with mechanical and software engineers, sales, and production, as well as with vendors and board houses.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science or a related field (required)
Proficiency in CAD Software such as Altium Designer for schematic capture, PCB layout, Gerber generation & verification, and library management (required)
3-6 years industry experience in electronics-based product development
