work independently counseling the business regarding expansion of private market service offerings with a particular focus on FPS
understand and apply the full range of federal and state securities laws and regulations governing broker-dealer, investment advisory and wealth management businesses
Requirements
J.D with 5-8 years’ experience with a law firm or in-house legal department with a practice that focuses private markets and/or equity compensation
Experience with the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Securities Act of 1933, and related SEC rules and regulations as they relate to private markets is strongly preferred
Experience with corporate equity compensation plans, restricted stock, and stock options
Experience with investment advisers and venture capital funds
Experience with software as a service
