Role Overview
- Assist with verification of customs documentation (invoices, CAD, certificates of origin, etc.)
- Support tariff classification activities for HS codes
- Assist with compliance with trade agreements (CUSMA/USMCA, CETA, etc.)
- Prepare post-entry adjustments (B2, CARM process)
- Participate in special projects (audits, drawback, etc.) and compliance reviews
- Communicate with clients, customs authorities, and brokers as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance records
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of customs regulations and tariff classification
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a customs department
- CCS certification is an asset
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
- Fluent in English and French
