Administer and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, with emphasis on California regulations (wage and hour, leave laws, meal/rest periods, classification, etc.)
Execute and manage California Alternate Work Schedule (AWS) processes, including documentation, opt-in tracking, election requirements, and compliance monitoring.
Handle employee relations matters, conduct investigations, and prepare documentation for corrective actions and terminations.
Update and distribute HR policies, procedures, and handbook revisions.
Support audits and compliance reporting as needed.
Maintain workforce data including headcount tracking, utilization reports, and position control.
Support leadership with workforce planning data and reporting.
Assist in updating job descriptions and organizational charts.
Track workforce metrics and provide operational reports to leadership.
Serve as primary HRIS administrator for ADP Workforce Now (or similar ADP platform).
Maintain data accuracy within ADP including job changes, status updates, and reporting fields.
Generate regular and ad hoc HR reports (headcount, turnover, leave tracking, compliance metrics).
Utilize project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet, Jira) to track HR initiatives and deadlines.
Identify and recommend process improvements within HR systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
5+ years of hands-on HR experience
Strong working knowledge of California employment law
Experience administering Alternate Work Schedules (AWS)
