Role Overview
- Provide technical leadership for application development
- Guide project scope, requirements, and solution design
- Oversee task planning and scheduling
- Coordinate with outsourced development partners
- Ensure code quality and alignment with project objectives
- Conduct unit, systems, and integration testing
- Implement and document web applications
- Enforce best practices for source control and code progression across environments
- Mentor staff on development practices
Requirements
- Five years of experience in application development OR Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area (preferred)
- Solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts
- Understanding the principles of client/server configuration
- Five years of extensive object-oriented programming experience
- Two years of application specific programming experience
- Three years of experience in managing and developing distributed web applications for large organizations, preferably in healthcare
- Excellent knowledge of messaging technology and project management skills
- ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of position start date (for IT Division caregivers)
