Structures the launching of new projects, evaluates the risks, sets financial objectives and the operating strategy, and implements an efficient internal and external communication plan
Responsible for defining a technical strategy and a supply plan in collaboration with the System Engineer and the Procurement Department
Develops the general and detailed planning and coordination of all the activities required to meet established contractual and financial objectives
Ensures a follow-up and compliance with contractual obligations, technical specifications, quality and health & safety standards
Organizes team meetings, prepares the minutes and defines the actions for the team during the execution of the project
Analyzes and prepares all the documentation related to the project reviews with management
Performs a risk & opportunity evaluation and suggests a contingency plan
Analyzes, defines and implements a contingency plan to correct any failure or inadequacy
Requirements
Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in the field of project management in heavy industry projects (experience in hydroelectricity or energy producing equipment and related manufacturing activities an asset)
Proven experience and accomplishments related to the efficient management of projects with an inherent complexity and an accelerated schedule
Proven leadership and team spirit, innovative
Excellent listening skills as well verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in French and in English
Availability to travel, as necessary
Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (an asset)
PMP Certificate (an asset)
