Work with stakeholders to properly interpret signed reinsurance treaties and amendments
Determine administrative and accounting requirements of the new or amended arrangement and work with team members to implement the required processes
Ensure strong controls are built and implemented to accommodate the arrangement
Process complex settlements and related accounting
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and reconciliation
Requirements
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or reinsurance operations with university degree in Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related area of study
Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, including intermediate knowledge of Excel (experience with pivot tables and V-look ups)
Strong planning and organizational capabilities, including the ability to coordinate a large, diverse group of individuals in the completion of a common deliverable
High attention to detail, energetic, results-oriented and ability to write clearly and concisely to different audiences (i.e., team members, IT representatives, reinsurers, internal partners, etc.)
Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec
