The Field Engineering Specialist will be responsible for performing aircraft servicing, inspections, troubleshooting and repair of all aircraft systems in accordance with applicable technical data.
Towing and positioning aircraft.
Flying with the aircraft to provide off station maintenance support, removes and installs aircraft avionics, hydraulic components, landing gear, tires, and struts.
Performing engine removals and installations.
Checking for work correctness.
Analyzes equipment failures to determine cause and recommends corrective action in accordance with applicable aircraft maintenance manuals.
Implements preventive maintenance programs, documents performance and maintenance records on aircraft and equipment.
Willing and able to lift, bend, and climb.
Daily interface with customers at numerous levels.
Use, Understand, and interpret a wide variety of technical data from OEM manuals to engineering drawings.
Proficient in MS Office.
Ability to work alone or within a group.
Able to work extended hours and weekends when required.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree with four (4) years of experience performing aircraft servicing, inspections, troubleshooting and repair of all aircraft systems.
Graduate Degree with two (2) years of experience performing aircraft servicing, inspections, troubleshooting and repair of all aircraft systems.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of eight (8) years of experience performing aircraft servicing, inspections, troubleshooting and repair of all aircraft systems.
Must have a valid A&P License.
Must be able to pass FAA Class III flight physical and complete altitude chamber training within the first 3-6 months.
Valid Driver’s License is required.
Must have an active Secret DoD Clearance at the time of hire.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills: DHC-6, Caravan 208B, CN235 & CN295 experience. Dehaviland, Textron and Airbus Aircraft / PWC and GE engine experience.
