About this role
Role Overview
Investigating and prosecuting complex financial crimes and organized criminal enterprises.
Prosecuting other criminal activity, including homicide and other persons crimes.
Evaluating and pursuing criminal cases, including conflict and specialty cases.
Providing advice and support to district attorneys and their deputies.
Presenting at trainings across the state.
Requirements
Active member of the Oregon State Bar in good standing on the effective date of appointment.
Five or more years practicing law as an attorney.
Demonstrated knowledge of criminal and evidence codes.
Demonstrated ability to work well with people from a variety of disciplines (e.g., state agency personnel, law enforcement officers, county prosecutors, etc.).
Excellent organization, analytical, oral presentation and advocacy, and writing skills.
Experience training prosecutors and/or law enforcement.
Willing and able to travel throughout the state and nation, sometimes overnight, to meet case, training, and outreach needs.
