About this role
Role Overview
Reviews biomedical and behavioral research studies for compliance with Federal regulations and institutional policies.
Identifies issues that must be addressed to approve research under expedited procedure.
Communicates with investigators to facilitate the review process.
Maintains working knowledge of current regulations impacting human subject research.
Provides guidance to research coordinators and investigators preparing IRB applications.
Serves as a primary reviewer and voting member of a convened IRB.
Participates in educational presentations to colleagues and at national IRB meetings.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
Certified IRB Professional (CIP) status required when eligible.
Preferred: Master’s degree and experience in Human Subject Research (1 Year), Healthcare (1 Year), Clinical Trials.
Skills: Adaptability, Clinical Research Coordination, Institutional Review Board (IRB), Medical Knowledge, Microsoft Office, Multitasking, Research Compliance, Scientific Research.
