Develops and/or coordinates manufacturing processes, small to medium in scope, centrally and supports the relocation of products to other manufacturing sites
Perform root cause analysis on materials, processes, and products
Provide DFM feedback to the product design team
Develop or Sustain documentation in support of Sustaining efforts
Provides training in new procedures to production staff and supports internal and external manufacturing projects
Coordinates engineering builds and use of CAD to communicate Design feedback
Qualifies new components, tools, fixtures, and other process needs for use in existing and developing products
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; Bachelor’s in Engineering or advanced degree preferred (Master’s a plus)
Minimum 1 year of experience in NPI or Manufacturing Engineering
Prior medical device experience and understanding of regulatory compliance preferred
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with analytical problem-solving ability
Effective communication skills, including reporting project status and conveying technical information to cross-functional teams
Results-driven, learning-oriented mindset; proficient in English and Microsoft Office/engineering software
A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova
