Executes detailed design and development of industrial automated control systems, including the generation of electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD
Electrical/Equivalent.
Responsible for the specification and selection of control components, including PLCs (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000), VFDs, servos, safety devices (e.g., light curtains, safety PLCs), and sensor technologies.
Accountable for the development and implementation of PLC logic (Ladder Diagram, Structured Text, Function Block Diagram) for sequence control, motion control, and fault diagnostics.
Supports the configuration and programming of Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for operator interaction and data visualization.
Supports site acceptance testing (SAT), performing I/O checkout, functional testing, and performance validation of integration with host software.
Assist with on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of material handling equipment, ensuring seamless integration with existing customer infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross-functional project teams (mechanical, software, project management) to ensure robust system design, interoperability, and adherence to project specifications and timelines.
Adhere to Dematic's engineering standards, safety protocols, Industrial Standards (UL508A, ANSI, NFPA, etc.), and industry best practices for control system architecture and implementation.
Document technical specifications, meeting minutes, test plans, and as-built drawings to maintain comprehensive project records.
Travel 40% domestically to work at customer sites.
