Responsible for the design, implementation, patching, and ongoing maintenance of all database instances on multiple environments
Perform database query analysis, performance, and optimization and coordination of stored procedures and maintaining an appropriate database access layer
Responsible for database performance, scalability, replication, and database reporting
Reports to the SQL Services Database Administrator
Requires exceptional technical, analytical and collaboration skills
Must have the ability to communicate effectively, precisely, and accurately across all levels of the organization

Skill in SQL Server database administration
Skill in working in Windows operating systems
Skill as a SQL developer
Skill in creating stored procedures
Skill in supporting SQL Server data replication and validation
Skill with SQL Server software installation, patching, and upgrading
Ability to work independently and to resolve complex issues
Ability to effectively diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex problems pertaining to server and data infrastructure
Ability to write T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Functions, and Database Triggers
Ability to Tune SQL and T-SQL queries for performance
Operational support skills, including experience with system installations, migrations and upgrades
Knowledge of Windows scripting
Skill in logical database design and data models
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle process
Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service
Knowledge of data privacy and protection initiatives
Strong interpersonal skills to resolve problems in a professional manner
Ability to effectively communicate technical data processing information verbally and in writing
Knowledge of SQL Server backup/recovery technologies and processes
Knowledge of SQL Server Replication practices and processes
Knowledge of SQL Server Clusters and Failover methodologies
