Managing state-owned property
Administering the district Relocation Program
Monitoring local agency acquisitions
Directing district highway and land surveys
Completing eminent domain action through liaison with attorneys and court officials
Ensuring all highway and land surveys are completed on schedule
Ensuring equitable administrative settlements are considered prior to condemnation actions
Training, motivating, and evaluating staff

Current registration as a Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Illinois
Eight years of experience in civil engineering including three years supervising staff and managing engineering functions
Considerable knowledge of land acquisition principles and practices
Experience and knowledge with the state and federal laws governing land acquisition
Strong leadership and management skills
Good verbal and written communication skills.
