About this role
Role Overview
- Handle commercial line auto claims of low to moderate complexity
- Document claims files by accurately capturing and updating claims data/information
- Exercise judgment to determine liability by gathering and analyzing relevant facts
- Determine policy verification and coverage determination
- Develop case strategy for timely resolution of claims
- Establish timely reserves and perform ongoing reviews throughout the claims cycle
- Assess damages by calculating applicable damages or the range of damages allowed by law
- Negotiate settlement of claims by establishing appropriate negotiation strategy
- Ensure customer service by proactively communicating information
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of experience in the Claims or Insurance area
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an Associate Degree and 3+ years of experience in the Claims or Insurance area
- Completion of the Zurich Claims Training Program and 2+ years of experience in the Claims or Insurance area
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5+ years of experience in the Claims or Insurance area
- Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s)
- Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets, and products
- Microsoft Office experience
