Plan, direct and coordinate all aspects of the Value Stream and all associated processes at the enterprise level.
Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
Plan and administer procedures and budgets.
Make budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.
Select and develop personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function.
Develop schedules and workforce requirements for assigned areas.
Embrace the Medtronic Performance System (MPS) and implement One Best Way practices to improve local manufacturing and business processes.
Conduct daily Gemba walks to observe & understand the health of the overall system, processes & workflows to understand the key opportunities and where to best direct short, medium and long-term improvement activity & resources.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 7 years of relevant Manufacturing, Warehouse and Distribution experience within a highly regulated industry and 5+ years of Managerial experience; OR an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant Manufacturing, Warehouse and Distribution experience within a highly regulated industry and 5+ years of Managerial experience.
Degree in Engineering or Technical Sciences (Nice to Have)
Master of Science / Advanced Degree preferred (Nice to Have)
Medical Device Manufacturing experience within a cleanroom environment (Nice to Have)
Experience effectively leveraging Gemba Walks (Nice to Have)
DMAIC Lean / Six Sigma Certification (Nice to Have)
Experience leading Kaizen events (Nice to Have)
Demonstrated business acumen, including P&L or cost center management (Nice to Have)
Experience building and sustaining direct labor engagement programs (Nice to Have)
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of employees.
