Managing and/or providing technical direction on a diverse and broad scope of stormwater management, flood abatement, and water quality improvement projects
Task and project-level responsibility for scoping, performing, managing and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments including directing multi-disciplinary project teams
Client management and interacting with client representatives
Stormwater master planning and watershed management
Conducting resiliency, vulnerability, and adaptation assessments, planning, and designing
Performing and overseeing detailed hydrologic and hydraulic studies
Developing innovative low impact development and green infrastructure solutions for the urban environment
Applying innovative 1D, 2D, and 3D hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software
Floodplain mapping and flood protection designs
In-stream and urban stormwater water quality monitoring and modeling
Developing construction design documents, including engineering drawings, cost estimates, and technical specifications
Field investigations and construction support services
Preparing erosion and sediment control strategies and designs
Collaborating and supporting other practitioners in our environmental management, remediation, and solid waste practices
Supporting lead generation, business development, staff development, and mentoring
Helping to broaden our reputation via publishing and visibility at prominent industry conferences
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering, natural resources or other science, with emphasis on water resources or closely related discipline (required)
At least 7 years (8+ years preferred) of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
Experience with modeling and design software tools such as STORMWISE (ICPR), EPA-SWMM, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS (preferred)
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed (required)
Excellent writing and communication skills (required)
Occasional field work and overnight travel (required)
Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)
