Quality Assurance Technician – Syrup

Role Overview

• Mix the syrup, and adhere to quality control according to the standards established by the company.
• Prepare and handle raw materials and finished products in accordance with quality standards and requirements.
• Ensure the continuous production of syrup / mix according to quality standards.
• Revise the production schedule to ensure ideal inventory levels in addition to ordering raw materials.
• Rotate stocks as needed.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area in accordance with the company's health and safety requirements.
• Provide maintenance, storage and disposal of water treatment chemicals.
• Pursuit of excellence; continuously develop technical and personal skills to achieve a world class manufacturing environment throughout the facility.
• Analyze syrup beverage and/or water attributes.
• Audit materials including container rinsers, air blowers, filters, and coders to ensure proper operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in science related field
• Post secondary diploma in a related field preferred
• 1
• 3 years prior production/manufacturing experience OR 2+ years relevant lab technician experience
• Food/beverage industry experience is considered an asset
• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
• Familiarity with lab safety and handling of hazardous materials
• Readily accepts instruction from management/supervisors and executes effectively
• Reliable and open to a flexible schedule
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to read, write, and keep records
• Strong computer comprehension capabilities including Excel and Word and various quality programs
