About this role
Role Overview
- Lead Geotechnical instrumentation monitoring and data collection
- Conduct Geotechnical inspections of active and inactive structures
- Oversee construction Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) activities
- Supervise drilling and Geotechnical instrumentation installation
- Manage contract coordination with Engineer-of-Record (EOR)
- Communicate Geotechnical information to management
- Liaise with Corporate Tailings and Water Group
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited curriculum
- Three (3) years of experience in an applicable field of expertise, OR Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering and two (2) years of experience
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Knowledge in the principles and practices of Civil, Geologic, Geotechnical, or Hydrologic Engineering
- Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
- Knowledge of required software (MS Office, AutoCAD) and Geotechnical analysis
