About this role

Conduct investigations for ensuring employer compliance with the workers’ compensation coverage requirements.
Enter and inspect any place of business for purposes of investigating employer compliance.
Examine and copy business records.
Issue, serve, and enforce stop-work orders and penalty assessment orders.
Conduct on-site inspections & complex investigations of various types of businesses.
Observe & document activities performed by workers on site.
Interview workers to determine their employment status and wages.
Create and maintain investigative case files in accordance with established procedures.

Four (4) years of investigative or regulatory experience is required.
A post-secondary degree from an accredited college or university may substitute for the required work experience.
Preference: One (1) or more years of workers' compensation experience.
One (1) or more years of experience writing detailed chronological reports.
Two (2) or more years of experience conducting face-to-face fact-finding interviews.
Bi-lingual with the ability to fluently speak and write Spanish and English.
Requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.
