Role Overview
- Market small group benefit plans to insurance carriers and analyze proposal results
- Coordinate small group carrier renewals, including obtaining pricing and plan options
- Manage carrier implementations and transitions for small group clients, including:
- Communicating plan selections to carriers
- Completing and submitting required enrollment and administrative paperwork
- Ensuring enrollment files are completed accurately and timely
- Obtaining signed termination letters and submitting them to prior carriers
- Obtaining and reviewing certificates for accuracy
- Prepare and distribute open enrollment materials for small group clients, including benefit summaries, enrollment instructions, SBCs, and required compliance notices
- Communicate benefit decisions to internal teams, including COBRA, benefits systems, FSA/HRA administrators, and call center teams as applicable
- Respond to day-to-day client questions and provide ongoing support to small group employers and their employees
- Support compliance requirements relevant to small group plans, including Medicare Part D notices, CMS Medicare Status filings, CAA reporting, plan document updates, and LOAs when applicable
- Prepare reports for renewal and client review meetings
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in Vertafore BenefitPoint
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience working with small group employee benefits or insurance preferred
