Design and develop complex digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuits and system architectures for aerospace applications, including engine and flight controls, air management systems, APU controls, D e -I ce (anti-ice), and other advanced digital control modules, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
Perform schematic capture, component selection, and detailed design analysis to deliver functional, optimized, and reliable electrical systems.
Support system integration, verification, and validation, including qualification testing for engine and flight control programs.
Lead and participate in design and peer reviews, addressing complex electrical and system-level issues with effective mitigation strategies.
Investigate field and production issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Collaborate with systems, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure cohesive, system-level solutions.
Produce and maintain technical documentation, including requirements, interface control documents, and test plans, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards.
Drive initiatives to enhance reliability, manufacturability, safety, and overall system performance across programs.
Interface with suppliers to review specifications, resolve technical challenges, and align components with program requirements.
Willing to travel approximately 10% to support projects, supplier engagement, and testing activities.
Requirements
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Prior experience as an Electrical Engineer working on complex or high-reliability electronic systems.
Master’s degree in electrical engineering and experience in aerospace or other safety-critical systems preferred.
Proficient in analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design.
Extensive experience in creating electronic circuit schematics and implementing design concepts.
Experience in system integration, validation testing, and performing root cause analysis for complex electrical issues.
Demonstrated strength in technical documentation, supplier engagement, and effective cross-functional communication and collaboration.
Proficient in performing Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to evaluate how hardware failures may affect system performance and safety.
Experience with design tools including Cadence and Mentor Graphics.
