The Electrical Engineer Leader will oversee the development of electrical systems for robotic construction equipment, leading a team and ensuring seamless integration with mechanical and software components.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers, fostering innovation and technical excellence
- Define electrical engineering standards and best practices for RoBuildX products
- Design and implement electrical systems for robotic platforms, including power supply, wiring harnesses, and control circuits
- Develop schematics, PCB layouts, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with mechanical and software components
- Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electrical systems in lab and field environments
- Manage timelines, budgets, and resources for electrical engineering projects
- Ensure documentation and reporting for all electrical designs and processes
Requirements:
- PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Expertise in power systems, control circuits, and industrial automation
- Proficiency in CAD tools for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, Altium)
- Strong knowledge of safety standards (UL, CE) and regulatory compliance
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with PLCs, motor control, and sensor integration
- Knowledge of embedded systems and firmware development
- Experience in high-power systems and battery management
