Role Overview
Reporting to the Director of social media, the social media intern will be responsible for assisting the ACLU’s social media team in researching, producing, scheduling, and measuring the performance of content posted across Instagram, Threads, Bluesky, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging platforms as needed.
Produce social media content for Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Bluesky, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube as needed
Assist social media editors and associates in scheduling content, including during rapid response moments
Prepare analytics reports with assistance from social media editors or social media manager
Requirements
Qualifying applicants must currently be matriculated undergraduate students or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience and must be based in the U.S. for the entire duration of the internship.
Experience using TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter for professional, academic, or extracurricular purposes, experience using these platforms for advocacy or organizing work a plus
Attention to detail, excellent written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team
