V2X is seeking a mid-level Subcontracts manager to support assigned business unit.
This individual will manage a mid-size team of subcontracts, in the United States and/or international.
This individual will collaborate closely with program managers and will be directly accountable for ensuring the programs’ Subcontract needs are met.
Responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of all program labor strategies, budgeting and forecasting, subcontract objectives, and enterprise objectives.
Support major business development efforts – from establishing agreements with key suppliers, to creating optimal subcontract strategies.
Ensure subcontract compliance with proper regulatory guidelines (FAR, DFAR and any other regulatory requirements specific to the contract) and V2X corporate procurement system policies and procedures.
Monitor subcontract performance to ensure that all contract terms and conditions are met.
Provide input to negotiation and execution of teaming agreements with potential subcontractors.
Requirements
Associate’s Degree with a minimum of eight (8) years of directly related government, industrial or aerospace purchasing or subcontracting experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and a minimum of six (6) years of directly related government, industrial or aerospace purchasing or subcontracting experience, OR Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a minimum of four (4) years of directly related government, industrial or aerospace purchasing or subcontracting experience
Preparing RFQs/RFPs, reviewing and negotiating terms and conditions, making best value source selection decisions to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability and ability to meet schedule requirements.
Bid solicitation and supplier selection based upon best value analysis with a federal contractor.
Significant purchasing and/or subcontracting experience (sustained annual purchases totaling more than $15M).
Prior program management experience or equivalent education may be substituted.
US citizen, required.
Must be able to pass a background investigation to obtain a public trust position (if required for the position).
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (if required for the position).
Must be able to work flexibly, such as weekends or other shifts, when required.
