About this role

Responsible for the design, layout, testing and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices or systems
Prepares design specifications, analysis and recommendations for presentation and approval
Analyzes mechanical requirements to determine feasibility of design
Conducts investigations involving the origination or modification of material, component or process specifications or requirements
Performs product development activities including drawing creation and interpretation/implementation of customer specifications and documentation requirements

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
Competency in avionics/electronics packaging design
Proficient completion of verification testing as defined by the mechanical specification and test plan
Experience with Space Avionics/electronics packaging design, assembly and test
Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 drawing standards
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience for design
Competency with CAD tools (Solidworks and CREO preferred)
