Support the integration, troubleshooting, and testing of various Communication/Datalink systems and subsystems on RC-135 platforms
Possess extensive knowledge and understanding of operational procedures, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance techniques for aircraft communications and ancillary mission systems
Demonstrate a strong understanding of radio theory, interphone communication, and datalink operations
Read and interpret aircraft wiring diagrams, follow aircraft Technical Orders (TOs), and identify engineering issues within schematics/202 data to provide support in developing solutions
Utilize RF generators, spectrum analyzers, watt meters, network analyzers, Time Domain Reflectometers, multimeters, and oscilloscopes
Manage complex projects with general oversight and ensure effective communication skills within and outside the function to achieve goals and milestones
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
8-10 years of experience maintaining SIGINT/COMINT, mission/communications systems aboard U.S. military airborne and/or ground-based platforms
An active Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
Familiarity with the use of industry-standard test equipment and COTS hardware
Strong work ethic: Maintaining a sense of urgency to ensure obligations are met
Computer literacy, including the use of Windows-based programs and COTS software applications
Thorough analytical and troubleshooting skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Flexibility regarding assigned work schedules/shifts and may require maintenance of qualification for FAA Class III flight physical/duties
Willingness to travel both CONUS and OCONUS up to 10% of the time
Willingness to work multiple shifts
Experience with mission/communications systems aboard military airborne and/or ground-based platforms is desired
