Role Overview
- Handles moderate to complex claims with focus on policyholders and ICW Group
- Manages all aspects of assigned claims inventory
- Investigates claims to determine exposure and works with experts for recommendations
- Operates within state regulations and internal policies
- Directs defense counsel throughout litigation process
- Collaborates with team members from various departments
- Acts as Subject Matter Expert and mentors less experienced team members
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent education and experience) preferred
- Minimum 5+ years of related claims experience
- Certification that meets minimum standards (WCCA and WCCP preferred)
- State Workers Compensation License is required in some branches
- Good understanding of laws and jurisdictional restraints to manage claims
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence
- Excellent verbal communication skills
