Design, develop, and configure case management and business process solutions using the Pega platform in support of IRS enterprise systems.
Translate detailed federal business requirements, policy updates, and legislative changes into scalable technical solutions.
Develop and maintain case types, workflows, data models, decision tables, user interfaces, and correspondence rules in compliance with Pega guardrails and IRS development standards.
Support modernization initiatives by enhancing legacy processes and implementing low-code BPM solutions aligned with federal IT transformation goals.
Collaborate with federal stakeholders, business analysts, system architects, and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation of requirements.
Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, and sprint reviews) within a federal delivery framework.
Develop and support system integrations with internal and external government systems using REST/SOAP services and secure data exchange protocols.
Perform unit testing and support system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) to meet federal quality and compliance standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, conduct root cause analysis, and support production operations in a controlled federal environment.
Ensure application security, data integrity, and compliance with federal information security standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST guidelines).
Maintain technical documentation in accordance with federal documentation requirements and support audit readiness efforts.
Requirements
US citizenship
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
3–6+ years of experience in application development, with at least 2+ years of hands-on Pega development experience in an enterprise environment.
Pegasystems Certified System Architect (CSA) certification (required or ability to obtain within 6 months).
Experience developing case management and business process solutions using Pega PRPC / Pega Infinity.
Strong understanding of Pega guardrails, best practices, and performance optimization techniques.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments within federal or large-scale enterprise programs.
Experience translating federal business requirements, policy changes, or legislative updates into technical solutions.
Experience developing integrations using REST/SOAP services and secure data exchange methods.
Familiarity with federal security and compliance standards (FISMA, NIST 800-53, Section 508).
Experience supporting testing activities including unit testing, SIT, and UAT.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to support collaboration with IRS stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Active IRS Public Trust (Moderate Risk) clearance or ability to obtain and maintain suitability.
