supports engineering teams under general supervision
performs technical tasks requiring intermediate knowledge of engineering principles and practices
uses digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling)
creates, updates, and maintains technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables
begins providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering technicians
stay current on applicable standards, systems, document control practices, departmental guides, and BV policies and procedures
apply knowledge of the BV Quality Program to ensure accurate, compliant deliverables
demonstrate strong attention to detail while supporting continuous improvement and change management initiatives
use and expand applications and tools to evaluate and improve methods, processes, and procedures
create and develop project deliverables based on a variety of design inputs
perform basic computations, including material quantity estimates and dimensional checks
coordinate deliverables with other project groups to minimize errors and interferences
support internal client needs while developing an understanding of external client priorities and drivers
proactively seek out, share, and apply knowledge of new technologies and evolving processes
Requirements
typically a minimum of 2 years related work experience
diploma or certificate preferred
associate degree in drafting or an engineering design related technology preferred
basic Civil3D experience is required with the use of pipe/pressure networks, proposed grading surfaces and plan and profile development
