Role Overview
- Greet patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism, empathy, and a customer‑first attitude
- Provide directions, escort assistance, and general information
- Assist patients and families with mobility needs
- Maintain a visible, approachable presence
- De‑escalate emotionally charged situations
- Monitor compliance with hospital access policies
- Conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols
- Respond promptly to emergencies and incidents
- Document all incidents clearly and accurately
Requirements
- Minimum one year in a customer service or any related work/school environment
- Law enforcement or hospital security experience highly desirable
- Ability to communicate with people at all levels
- Demonstrate good judgment and critical thinking
- Ability to write reports and perform basic data entry
- Connecticut Security Guard License required
