About this role
Role Overview
- Take ownership of the entire customer experience
- This includes appropriate product selection, accurate entry and maintenance of orders, precise and safe product preparation, and safe loading of the customer’s vehicle, when applicable.
- Consistently execute branch sales-focused activities to capitalize on selling opportunities and encourage customer loyalty to meet revenue targets
- Learn and navigate various computer systems and applications for customer
- and warehouse-related activities
- Be agile in seamlessly transitioning from customer assistance to other diverse branch tasks, including safely performing warehouse and showroom duties for pickup or shipping
- Perform housekeeping tasks as needed to ensure the branch appearance meets Grainger standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a related field preferred.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is required due to the nature of this role.
- Flexible availability to work at any time during branch hours
- Ability to manage your own professional development, accept feedback, and proactively engage with your manager to support your growth
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role: standing and walking continuously
- Ability to regularly lift up to 25 lb unassisted
- Ability to learn and safely operate powered industrial equipment
- Successfully complete initial and ongoing training in a timely manner, as required
- Other branch support duties as needed by the business
