About this role
Role Overview
Supervises the analysis and development of response strategies for emerging issues, new technologies, and new/existing legislation.
Coordinates efforts of the Policy and Innovation Section with staff and leadership across all bureaus and offices.
Manages staff and budget needs for the Policy and Innovation Section.
Identifies emerging innovative transportation trends to determine the viability of new programs.
Analyzes proposed legislation impacts to the department and develops recommendations.
Requirements
Completion of a bachelor’s degree majoring in public policy, political science, economics, business, public administration, science, transportation planning, or urban planning PLUS six years of progressively responsible managerial experience in public policy, political science, policy analysis, economics, business, public administration, science, urban planning, or a combination thereof.
OR fourteen years of experience in public policy, political science, policy analysis, economics, business, public administration, science, urban planning, or a combination thereof.
Three years of supervisory experience.
