Represent clients in a full range of family law matters, including divorce, custody, child and spousal support, post‑judgment issues, dependency, and domestic violence.
Develop and execute tailored legal strategies based on case facts, client goals, and applicable law.
Prepare for and conduct hearings, mediations, negotiations, evidentiary proceedings, and trials with confidence and professionalism.
Meet with clients regularly to discuss case progress, evaluate options, and determine next steps, ensuring proactive communication about significant developments.
Draft, review, and supervise legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts.
Conduct legal research and case analysis to support litigation and settlement strategies.
Collaborate with internal staff and external professionals, including expert witnesses, to strengthen case outcomes.
Assign and oversee work performed by legal support staff to ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness.
Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and firm standards.
Provide the firm with copies of all client‑provided and attorney‑drafted documents to support seamless case management.
Track billable time and value delivered in accordance with firm policies and expectations.
Participate in bi‑weekly case review meetings with firm leadership to assess strategy, support needs, and payment status.
Contribute to firm performance by meeting key metrics, demonstrating accountability, and supporting a collaborative team culture.
Travel to Tampa and St. Petersburg courts as needed for hearings, trials, and other proceedings.
Requirements
A licensed Florida attorney in good standing with a JD from an accredited law school.
In good, current standing with the Florida State Bar.
An experienced family law practitioner with at least three years of experience handling divorce, custody, support, post‑judgment issues, dependency, and domestic violence matters.
A confident litigator with proven experience preparing for and conducting hearings, trials, mediations, and negotiations.
A strong legal writer with the ability to draft high‑quality pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, and settlement agreements.
A strategic thinker who can analyze case facts, identify risks, and develop client‑centered legal strategies.
An organized professional who can manage a demanding caseload while maintaining meticulous records and meeting deadlines.
