About this role

Provide exact and expert interpretation to English from a variety of other languages for meetings, depositions, interviews, and testimony of witnesses before the jury and at trial
Convert spoken statements from one language to another in various settings
Interpret accurately and completely with knowledge of subject matter and interpreter protocol
Provide services in three different modes of interpretation: simultaneous, consecutive, and sight translation

U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
Reside in the greater New York City area
Be willing to travel to all 5 boroughs of New York City
One (1) year of experience interpreting in a judicial environment
Have access to the Internet, quiet workspace, and computer/phone
Knowledgeable of both English and the foreign language vocabularies typically used in formal, consultative, and casual modes of communication in justice system contexts
