Role Overview
- Prepare physical layout drawings for substations and produce electrical plans and sections as well as grounding and conduit drawings
- Prepare bills of materials and review drawings and specifications
- Responsibilities will include the preparation of the following substation drawings: Substation General Arrangement, Substation AIS design, Substation Electrical Equipment Plans, Substation Section Views (Elevations), Substation Detailed Bill of Material, Substation Grounding Plan, Substation Conduit, Electrical Connection and Grounding Details, Substation Below Grade Conduit/Raceway Plan, Control Building Equipment, Cable Tray, Lighting, Grounding Plans and Section
Requirements
- 7+ years experience in utility substation design
- A 2 year associates degree in engineering technology or drafting is preferred
- Proficient with AutoCAD and MicroStation
- Strong knowledge with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
