About this role
Role Overview
Own and operate PCH's programmatic advertising business across web and mobile app properties
Maintain relationships with ad partners, SSPs, and demand sources to maximize fill rates and CPMs
Identify and implement optimization opportunities (floor pricing, ad placement, header bidding configuration, etc.)
Build automation for reporting, monitoring, and routine operational tasks—your goal is to make this function as self-sufficient as possible
Stay current on ad tech trends, privacy regulations, and industry changes that impact programmatic revenue
Use data and behavioral signals to determine the optimal monetization path for different user segments
Design and execute strategies to convert high-potential users to paid membership while maximizing value from users who remain ad-supported
Partner with Product, Analytics, and Marketing to test and iterate on conversion funnels, paywalls, and offer targeting
Build frameworks for understanding user LTV across monetization paths and use this to inform prioritization
Balance short-term revenue optimization with long-term user experience and retention
Requirements
3-5+ years of experience in ad monetization, revenue operations, or ad tech—web experience is required; mobile experience is a strong plus
Deep familiarity with programmatic advertising: header bidding, SSPs/DSPs, ad servers (GAM preferred), floor optimization, and yield management
Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive decisions (SQL, Excel/Sheets, and familiarity with BI tools)
Experience building automation and process improvements—you should be excited about eliminating manual work
Understanding of subscription/membership models and freemium monetization strategies
Ability to think strategically about user segmentation and monetization trade-offs
