Ensure that the purpose and value of the UMaine 4-H Centers at Bryant Pond and Greenland Point are realized through the development and implementation of programs that support the mission of 4-H and UMaine Cooperative Extension.
Serve as a role model for staff by maintaining a high degree of professionalism, exhibiting exemplary leadership and teaching skills, and skilled supervision.
Serve as Director on Duty and be responsible for risk management (program and facility) during specific program offerings.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of five to seven years of significant work experience in camp/outdoor education or youth development program leadership
Certifications and instructor qualifications in Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife recreation safety programs
Successful supervisory experience
Demonstrated ability to develop and manage educational program budgets
Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with marketing using print and electronic media
Wilderness First Responder Certification
CPR Certification
Maine driver’s license and be eligible to be authorized and approved as a university driver based on the Driver Administration Policy.
