Direct management of the supply planning function by maintaining and improving a disciplined supply planning process.
Work with the Master Schedulers to develop, maintain, and communicate master production schedule at all locations.
Ensure adequate training and work instructions to the Master Schedulers.
Provide oversight and guidance to the Materials Management team.
Ensure compliance with operating procedures as defined in position work instructions.
Ensure customer fulfillment goals are achieved on a consistent basis.
Ensure compliance with inventory investment objectives.
Manage specific Supply Planning KPI’s necessary to clearly identify functional performance and opportunities for improvement.
Manage the maintenance of all supply planning and inventory management parameters within the corporate supply chain applications.
Lead the material expediting, transfer or substitution processes to ensure maximum service to the customer base.
Perform capacity planning analysis for multiple time horizons as part of a supply planning function monthly and on an as needed basis.
Communicates supply plan and inventory estimations to management.
Review historical resource capability and prepare supply planning data to share at multiple levels of the organization.
Performs scenario planning based on changing demand and contingency planning.
Interact with demand management and sales to understand demand drivers, machine installation timelines, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure an adequate supply of raw materials exists within the defined stocking window.
Collaborate with Demand Management group to align Supply and Demand plans.
Aligning with Materials Managers to manage all Planner/Scheduling activities, corporate-wide assuring coverage and labor utilization is consistent with corporate goals.
Reroute jobs where capacity constraints have been identified.
Review product mix requirements and plant capabilities and advise when additions to capabilities may be necessary to maximize utilization.
Create and maintain standard lead times to be shared with cross functional teams.
Additional assigned duties as needed by the Director of Global Supply Planning.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field. MBA preferred.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in supply chain roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent planning skills and computer skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work well with all levels of management and staff.
