Provides leadership and execution in the field of data and technology to assess processes and implement capabilities that increase SCG’s capabilities as a data driven organization, through the connection of disparate data to drive value creation and enable gross to net preservation.
Works closely with Strategic Contracting, Strategic Account Management, Value Access & Pricing to understand the needs of the business; Aligning with SCG strategy and objectives to clearly articulate the story of value built through data and technology.
Bridges and partners across the SCG organization and IT on strategic direction and tactical execution, and implementation of technology solutions
Provides expertise and input into the designing, implementing, and maintaining the SCG data architecture to enable and maximize value and capabilities across JAIDE, ARC and other SCG systems and processes.
Identifies and solves for data needs and gaps in processes and technologies
Stays current with data management trends and technologies, and shares experience and knowledge across the organization, and acts as an advisor and SME to colleagues
Point of contact and SCG subject matter authority for Contract Strategy & Analytics colleagues to deploy and improve system applications and capabilities for SCG processes and workflows
Drives day to day business results through implementation of the SCG data and system strategy
Supports system and data governance, including user management
Partners across SCG, legal and compliance to ensure that systems and related processes meet policies, guidance, and contractual requirements
Understands Strategic Contracting owned or impacted processes, systems, and data landscape to create a comprehensive understanding of process connections; interactions and dataflow (manual vs. integration)
Owns and leads the Strategic Contracting system and analytics inventory
Requirements
8 years of work experience required, preferably 3 of which are in the pharmaceutical industries
5+ years specializing in Data & Technology Architecture, Data Engineering and Data management or general IT background is strongly preferred.
Undergraduate degree in Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, applied data sciences or other related fields required; advanced degree in related fields is preferred
Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and inspire a small team is strongly preferred.
Experience collecting and assessing User Requirements including design thinking methodology
Proven track record of building and supporting strong, positive relationships with internal and external partners and to influence and collaborate
Project management, stakeholder management and change management experience
Proven experience in examining issues, shaping strategy & influencing effectively across the organization.
Ability to drive & lead people, challenge the status quo in process & technology is required
Understanding of data management concepts including data quality and governance, data extraction, storage, access, and documentation is required
Hands-on experience with data and analytics technologies in multi-functional / multi-stakeholder environment is required
Proven experience in implementing data architecture leveraging graph, SQL/NoSQL, data virtualization and relational database design is preferred.
