Leads the evaluation of suppliers and work to reduce vendor risk by developing scorecards and other metrics to ensure external and internal customer satisfaction
Establishes strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
Directs the work of a strategic sourcing team dispersed throughout various geographic locations
Improves supply chain efficiency and maintains product quality standards to ensure financial targets are achieved
Monitors and advises on world political, economic, and trade issues, developing appropriate sourcing options as necessary to continuously align to corporate initiatives
Owns procurement (OEM, 3rd party spend), enterprise-wide
Drives for results (i.e., financial, service and distribution)
Manages relationships with all vendors/suppliers
Manages MOU and variable incentive plans/rebates
Sets the vision, coach and develop team
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, economics, finance, operations, or a related field
10+ years supply chain, procurement, logistics or operations management experience
Proven track record of leading procurement teams in a dynamic and complex organization
Strong team player with the ability to collaborate with and influence the business and functional partners (IT, Finance, HR, Legal etc.)
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing effective procurement strategies
Familiarity with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as understanding of standard contractual terms and conditions to mitigate legal risk
Strategic mindset and problem-solving skills
Deep knowledge of industry and global trends
Exceptionally self-motivated and directed
Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
