Tester, Certifier — IEC 60601-1 Electrical Safety for Medical Devices

Role Overview

• Plan, organize, perform and document tests on medical devices and assemblies to demonstrate product safety within the scope of an IEC 60601-1 assessment.
• Prepare quality-relevant test reports, including approvals, in accordance with the requirements of the standard and the applicable procedure (e.g., CB or NRTL).
• Determine and coordinate the test scope/test plan with the relevant development project to cover the regulatory required scope.
• Conduct or coordinate fault-finding and troubleshooting in case of failures.
• Collaborate with external certification bodies such as CSA or TÜV on product safety certifications for our medical devices.

Requirements

• Completed technical vocational training with several years of professional experience in electronics / electrical engineering.
• Relevant experience in testing or troubleshooting.
• Good command of English.
