Role Overview
drive growth by leading major pursuits, and supporting client engagement across AECOM’s US East Region.
lead all aspects of sales for the East EPP practice.
lead positioning and capture management of the practice’s largest pursuits (Enterprise Critical Pursuits)
leading client engagements, and coaching sales staff through internal AECOM policies and procedures.
Support building and maintaining a deep and diversified qualified opportunity pipeline
Monitor and report on wins, bookings, and pursuit progress.
work with the team to develop full year Wins and Bookings forecast on a monthly basis; monitor and report on progress versus goals, forecasts, variances to targets, and specific pursuit status.
Support operational leadership within the regional business line (e.g., Department Managers, Practice Leaders) in converting strategic plans into actionable tactics to achieve growth targets and objectives
Drive consistent application of AECOM Work Winning practices as it relates to strategy, growth, and pursuit capture
Identify and prioritize client opportunities; lead outreach and positioning efforts.
Support and hold accountable Client Relationship Managers for the ongoing development, maintenance, and implementation of their client engagements and delivery of their growth targets and objectives for EPP services across regulated utilities, midstream operators, major energy developers, and government agencies
Lead, coach, and mentor Capture Managers, Client Account Managers and other sales resources to facilitate growth and support their professional development.
Bring discipline and rigor to the Go/No Go process and capture management planning phase.
Provide input on civic spending at a regional level and regional presence at national conferences.
Represent AECOM in industry organizations and events
Requirements
Bachelor's degree and 12+ years extensive experience in environmental planning, permitting, or energy infrastructure including 4 years in a leadership role or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Proven track record in business development, sales strategy, and pursuit leadership
Deep knowledge of U.S. environmental permitting frameworks (NEPA, Clean Water Act, ESA, NHPA, state-level permits)
Hands-on experience with natural and cultural resources, environmental impact assessments, routing/siting studies, and permitting for complex linear and facility projects.
Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
Strong proficiency in CRM Tools (Salesforce or similar)
Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
