About this role
Role Overview
You are responsible as a Major Government Account Manager (Public & Health) (m/f/d) for strategic and operational sales at the state (Land) level to expand and consolidate the market position.
You sell complex communications systems and tailored solutions to assigned named accounts within the existing portfolio as well as to assigned prospects (new customer acquisition).
You are responsible for the revenue and target achievement of the assigned customers.
You network and present within the ministries of the respective federal state, thereby identifying further strategic sales opportunities.
You are responsible for the revenue and target achievement of the assigned customers and successfully implement strategies and measures.
You ensure a long-term, forward-looking high presence, effective account management and customer retention for Vodafone in the respective federal state.
You lead sales projects and participate in public sector tenders.
Requirements
Completed degree in business administration or a comparable qualification.
At least 7 years of professional experience in field sales, ideally in the public sector.
Above-average knowledge of the German telecommunications market as well as of the offered products and solutions with respect to requirements coverage and pricing structures.
Experience with large (public) tenders and contract awards, ideally as lead negotiator.
Strong networking skills and very high social competence.
High self-motivation, flexibility and commitment.
Highly developed analytical and strategic thinking.
Target-oriented: sets and prioritizes challenging goals.
Fluent English skills, written and spoken (B2 according to CEFR).
