Oversee the administration and management of disability and leave claims, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations such as FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, and ERISA.
Lead and manage a team of claims professionals, offering guidance, support, and development planning to ensure high performance and maintain Voya culture.
Evaluate complex claims and situations, making informed decisions that require judgment and providing direction on disability and leave management claims.
Deliver exemplary customer service to claimants, ensuring timely and accurate communication and resolution of claims.
Develop, implement, and adopt claims policies and procedures to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance.
Collaborate with global partners and internal stakeholders, including HR, legal, and operational teams, to align claims management with company goals and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to claims management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Facilitate regular audits and reviews of claims processes to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
Source opportunities for technology and process improvements from claims professionals to enhance operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement at the source.
Manage demand and capacity to ensure optimal resource allocation.
Stay current with industry trends and changes in regulations related to disability and leave claims.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in claims, with a strong knowledge of the disability and leave management space.
Previous experience in process or system improvement projects.
Ability to manage people in a team environment and drive a collaborative, problem-solving culture.
3-5 years supervisory experience preferred.
