Help build and manage Kroo Bank’s treasury balance sheet and liquidity portfolio through high quality execution, strong market awareness, and disciplined risk management.
Act as an execution focused treasury dealer and rounded Treasury generalist, supporting day to day trade activity across cash, bonds, and money markets.
Embed robust governance across liquidity, funding, and interest rate risk including IRRBB.
Build trusted relationships with brokers and counterparties.
Monitor liquidity, funding, and market conditions to support the daily management of the Bank’s cash position and liquidity buffers in line with risk appetite and policy.
Execute treasury trades across a range of instruments including RMBS, Covered bonds and money market products.
Manage portfolio for high quality liquid assets, investment securities, and short dated instruments.
Support the management and reporting of interest rate risk including IRRBB.
Assist with the build out and ongoing management of the treasury asset portfolio.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with brokers and trading counterparties.
Contribute to treasury policies, procedures, and controls.
Partner with Finance and Risk for month end processes, valuation checks, and P&L attribution.
Monitor key liquidity metrics and early warning indicators.
Assist with the production of treasury and liquidity governance materials for internal committees.
Support wholesale funding and deposit related treasury activity.
Contribute to regulatory submissions and supporting documentation where relevant.
Requirements
Proven treasury dealing and trade execution experience within a bank, building society, fintech, or regulated financial services firm.
Hands on execution experience across money markets and fixed income including buying and selling bonds.
Working knowledge of asset backed instruments and securitisation structures such as RMBS, ABS and Covered Bonds and how they behave across market conditions.
Strong understanding of liquidity portfolio construction including HQLA principles, eligibility considerations, and haircut concepts.
Experience monitoring and managing interest rate risk including IRRBB, with ability to interpret key metrics and drivers. Understanding of key hedging instruments such as swaps and futures.
Familiarity with treasury governance and operating within risk appetite, limits, mandates, and delegated authorities.
Understanding of treasury front to back processes including trade capture, confirmations, settlements, reconciliations, and issue management.
Experience building and maintaining counterparty and broker relationships, including best execution practices and market colour.
Comfort working with treasury systems and data tools for booking, reporting, and MI production.
Understanding of the typical product set in a UK challenger retail bank including savings, deposits, lending, and how these impact liquidity and interest rate risk.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to produce clear commentary for governance forums and work effectively with Finance and Risk.
High attention to detail with strong operational discipline, particularly around booking accuracy, documentation, and audit trails.
Ability to work calmly under time pressure, respond to market events, and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
Relevant market and regulatory awareness including PRA and FCA expectations for treasury, liquidity, and risk management.
Degree level education or equivalent practical experience in Treasury, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
Professional qualification is beneficial but not essential, for example Association of Corporate Treasurers qualification, CFA, or relevant treasury or markets certification.
ILAAP or broader liquidity regulatory submission experience is desirable but not essential, especially in a growing challenger bank setting.
