Role Overview
Manage Business Unit & Business Unit Performance
Manage Implementation of existing & new processes, services & procedures
Manage Productivity, Quality & Work-related Problems
Manage Department Budget
Manage Staffing Process
Manage Individual Training & Development
Manage Individual Performance
Accurate reporting
Resolution of queries on financial reports, control and authorisation accounts
Resolve audit findings
Complaints investigation and resolution
Recommendations regarding exceptional claims decisions in collaboration with death claims consultants and management
Interaction with various departments in and outside of Business Transformation & Shared Services
Ensure effective management of Service Level Agreements between BTSS, NUB, Distribution, Actuarial, Re-insurers, internal doctors
Effective communication to respective role-players
Focus and motivate team
Effective Death Claims Production Centre management
Requirements
Grade 12 with Mathematics and/or Accountancy
Tertiary qualification
Knowledge of the Individual Life Insurance processes and products
Knowledge of death claims processes will be advantageous
3-5 years' leadership experience in managing a team of agents
Impact of legislation, e.g. FICA, Pension Funds Act.
