Senior Engineer - User Platform

Spotify is a leading audio streaming subscription service that aims to unlock the potential of human creativity. They are seeking a Senior Engineer for their User Platform team, which focuses on Customer Identity and Access Management, to design and develop backend services and APIs that enhance user authorization systems while collaborating across various teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy backend services and APIs that power Spotify's creator authorization systems
• Collaborate with different cross-disciplined teams on complex problems
• Maintaining business-critical Spotify authorization systems, ensuring high availability, stability, and adherence to SLAs
• Embrace and promote sound engineering practices and contribute to a culture of high-quality, scalable, and reliable systems
• Actively contribute to our learning culture by sharing knowledge and mentoring other engineers
• Leverage AI to improve our systems, automate tasks, and drive business impact

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with Java
• Experience with SQL
• Ideally familiar with React
• Ideally familiar with Typescript
• Ideally familiar with Next.js
• Understanding of the authorization domain
• Collaborative teammate who values inclusion and open communication
• Fullstack Developer who understands the complexities of Server side vs Client side development
• Eager to learn whatever skills are needed along the way
